Which comes first? Happy, Healthy or Wealthy?

This is like asking the proverbial question: 'Which comes first, the chicken or the egg?'

One of the biggest dilemmas of an entrepreneur is to find the balance between happy, healthy and wealthy. I remember back to my college days when I played sports, biked to school, and ran rivers on the weekends. I was totally in shape and very happy. Yet, ironically, I was broke!

So, what did I do?

I did what every good college grad decides to do...GO TO WORK TO MAKE $$$!

So, for the next 10 years, I began chasing the almighty Dollar! I worked for companies as an employee, and soon found out that the cubicle was not for me. No...I wanted to spread my wings and fly! Live the American Dream! I read 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' and that led me on a journey of becoming an Entrepreneur and Investor. I focused diligently on this path for 10 solid years. I committed nights and weekends to the journey. They say that earning your first Million Dollars is the toughest...so I chose to keep my head down until I made it there.

And...I did!

By the age of 34, I was earning over $1 Million/year in my business! It was awesome. Life was great...until I realized something very scary--My life actually SUCKED!!!

No one could imagine that my life sucked making all this money! But what few people understood was that I had sacrificed EVERYTHING to do it!

I was way out of balance.

I had no personal life and no friends, outside of my work. I had gained 80 pounds in 10 years. I went everywhere with my cell phone. I became a prisoner of my own life. That's when I experienced an 'awakening' for myself...which led me to my new-found freedom!

The solution?

To find a way to 'have my cake and eat it too'!! I never understood why people would get mad when people want to have their cake and eat it too. I mean, what are they supposed to do? Have their cake and throw it on the floor?! Come on...

There had to be a solution!

So, I started doing research. I sought after the most talented people I knew...who then became my partners. Together, we created a way for the Entrepreneur (and business professional) to 'have their cake and eat it too'!

We call it 'LIVE THE POWER OF 4'.

Our solution was to build a company that teaches Entrepreneurs and Business Professionals how to master 4 important elements: Wealth, Wellness, Leadership, AND Legacy...for absolute success and balance in their life! You see, the happy, healthy, wealthy entrepreneur needs ALL FOUR elements to be truly balanced, and ultimately...happy!

I am on my way and I invite you to join me! Imagine life with all the luxuries including peace, harmony, joy, and personal fulfillment.

This is an awesome post, and a true perspective from a successful individual telling her story like it is. I voted for health/wellness as the first step to give you the confidence/mindset/& attitude to get to the rest. You gotta have a strong foundation & big backbone to get to the top. I applaud you Cheri, for kicking things off and going after what u really want. Mahalo- Shelby

Aloha Cheri,
My vote is that happiness comes first! Find what gets you excited, something that is fun and go do it. After that everything else follows because you are getting to live the true life of your Spirit. People feel the difference just being around you in this state. You then give them an example and permission to do the same. Others are attracted to that energy since we all really just want to live in freedom, joy and love, the essence of our true Self. From that place we can take on any endeavor that is in harmony with our purpose while freely serving others and prosperity follows. This creates a magical flow to life that makes every moment an adventure and a blessing to all in our path.
Good job on going for your dreams!
Mahalo,
